Investment philosophy

Our dedicated Direct Equities team of specialist equity analysts construct portfolios using our time-tested investment philosophy – we seek to ‘protect, then grow’ clients’ investments. Perpetual has three Direct Equities portfolios which include Core, Wealth Accumulator and Responsible Investment. Our portfolios are built on the core principles of quality, value and active management.

Quality

Quality of business positioning | Strategic, decisive management team | Sustainability of earnings | Conservative debt levels

Value

We want to buy (and hold) assets with the aforementioned attributes at a reasonable price.

Active management

We invest actively to manage the portfolio risk, to capture excess returns and to optimise portfolio diversification.
